OUR GENDER EQUALITY PLAN

HSRT adopts a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) The Executive Board of HSRT is fully committed to the gender equality aims of the European Union and the SDGs, and intents to embody and actively support gender equality throughout the organization, through dedicated resources and focused actions.

To this end, in December 2021, it adopted for the first time a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) that encompasses the initiation and development of actions and policies to enhance gender equality. The GEP formulates gender equality and non-discrimination into an explicit goal of our organization, alongside its foundational commitment to meritocracy and excellence. It also plans a series of concrete actions aimed at embedding a gender-sensitive culture in HSRT’s human resource management, its decision-making structures, and in the content of our research and policy proposals. These actions include specific measures in our organization’s processes and focused changes in our operative and communication documents, sex-disaggregated data collection, capacity building, and gender balancing measures.

HSRT’s GEP was formulated on the basis of EC recommendations and in line with the specific guidelines of the European Institute for Gender Equality and Horizon Europe. HSRT will collect and monitor data on gender and sex through yearly updates from its organizational units and internal efforts to address the reach the respective goals, if necessary. HSRT is eager to share its experience and expertise with other organizations in Greece and abroad that are interested in adopting a Gender Equality Plan, especially in the area of research.
